Rising Nollywood actress dies during childbirth
Modupe Oyekunle is indeed a brave mother who gave up her life to save her baby.
The rising Nollywood actress passed on while giving birth to her third child – a girl – on Tuesday, April 4, 2017.
She’s survived by her husband and three children.
Modupe, who’s known as ‘Oyinbo’ on the big screen, is popular for playing the role of Sandra in Segun Ogungbe’s movie, Ibi Giga.
The movie also featured Odunlade Adekola, Fathia Balogun, Jide Kosoko, Lanre Hassan, and Lola Magret.
Modupe’s death comes after veteran Nigerian actress, Toyin Majekodunmi – popularly known as Iya Kiki – departed the world a day after celebrating this New Year.
Henrietta Kosoko, Aisha Dankano, Kudirat Ajimat, Bukky Ajayi and fast rising star, Genevieve Nene are other actresses who passed on in 2016.
