Renewed Man Utd vs Arsenal Rivalry in midweek as Merseyside Derby heats up on DStv
Football lovers on DStv are in for a treat as Manchester United will face Arsenal at Old Trafford on Thursday night. The Manchester club had confirmed the appointment of Ralf Rangnick as interim manager on Tuesday, following the sacking of club legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The German coach will oversee the club till the end of the season.
With the new manager not getting his work permit in time for the game, Michael Carrick is expected to be at the dugout on Thursday.
The match against Arsenal is poised to be an explosive encounter as victory at Old Trafford will put Manchester United just two points behind the Gunners in their hope for a resurgence.
The draw against Chelsea will boost the confidence of a Manchester United team who have registered one victory in their last five Premiership games. Arsenal, on the other hand, has managed an impressive four wins in the last five matches.
Also coming up midweek is the Merseyside Derby between high-flying Liverpool and Everton. The latter has not won a match in six games and would have to be at the top of their game when they welcome Liverpool on Wednesday night.
The Merseyside Derby is the longest-running top-flight Derby in England and promises to be another cracking encounter.
Liverpool is just one point behind Manchester City and two points behind Chelsea in the race for the premier league title. A win will keep them in the title race ahead of the busy December schedules.
