MultiChoice Set to Increase DStv Subscription Rates
MultiChoice, the pay-TV giant, is set to increase the subscription fees for its DStv bouquets, with the Compact package rising from N15,700 to N19,000, an insider told Neusroom.
The adjustment, expected to be officially announced today, comes nearly a year after the last price review. Neusroom gathered that the Family and Access bouquets will also see price hikes, with Family rising from N9,300 to N11,000 and Access increasing from N5,100 to N6,000. The two highest-priced packages, Premium and Compact+, will also be affected.
“Yes, the price would be increased and the official announcement is expected to be made today,” the source, who pleaded anonymity, confirmed.
The rising costs of energy and the continuous depreciation of the naira have led to price adjustments across various sectors, including telecommunications, transportation, and consumer goods.
Subscribers to Compact, Access, and Family bouquets form the bulk of MultiChoice’s customer base, making the latest review a significant development for many Nigerian households.
