Redeemer’s school cook, son in Abuja car crash

A woman and her son barely escaped with their lives in a ghastly car crash in Abuja.

The crash happened along Abaji Road, Abuja, on Saturday.

The woman, Ayandibu Remi, works as caterer at Redeemers Private Secondary School, Abuja, an identity card seen at the scene of the crash showed.

The school, on Monday, confirmed to NewsroomNG Remi was involved in the crash but declined providing additional information. Remi’s son was also involved the car crash.

Travellers, both Christians and Muslims, stopped by to pray for, comfort the victims, as well as call emergency agencies to the scene.

“The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) came immediately we called and took the injured to hospital,” Musa Itodo who posted a video of the scene online said.

“After rescuing the victims, we could not get a vehicle to convey them to hospital. So we decided to call FRSC and they immediately came and took them to hospital.

“I heard one of the victims saying FRSC should take them to Gwagwalada General Hospital,” he said.
