President Tinubu Holds High-Stakes Security Meeting at State House
President Bola Tinubu is currently presiding over a high-level security meeting with Nigeria’s top military and intelligence officials at the State House in Abuja.
In attendance are key security leaders, including General Christopher Musa, Chief of Defence Staff; Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, Chief of Army Staff; Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, Chief of Naval Staff; Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, Chief of Air Staff; and Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun.
Also present are National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, State Security Service Director-General Oluwatosin Ajayi, and National Intelligence Agency Director-General Muhammed Muhammed.
While the official agenda has not been disclosed, President Tinubu regularly convenes these security briefings to assess the nation’s security landscape and strategize on emerging threats.
In a separate development, top lawmakers, including Senate President Godswill Akpabio, House Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu, and Senate Majority Leader Opeyemi Bamidele, were also seen arriving at the presidential villa.
