Pregnant CNN news anchor faints on live national TV

Poppy Harlow caused some concern not only to her colleagues but also to millions of people in the audience when she appeared to pass out during a live broadcast on Monday morning.

The six-month-old-pregnant anchor was discussing the results of a new poll about Americans’ attitudes to the war on terror when she began to slur her words, Dailymail reports.

‘We have this new CNN/ORC poll which is quite – a quite a turn…in a…’ Harlow trails off, before a gasp is heard in the background and the screen goes black.

Although she returned on air a few minutes later to say she was fine, she was eventually replaced at the desk by Christine Romans.

“And for all of you on Twitter, who are asking if I’m okay, thank you so much. I got a little hot, and I passed out for a moment,” she explained. “I am fine.

Harlow, 33, took to Twitter after leaving the show to say she had been to the hospital and that her doctor says her “little girl due this spring is doing just fine”.

“Was a scare but we are both ok. Thank you all so much!” she tweeted..
