Police arrest three suspected ritualists for mutilating six years old girl in Taraba State
Three Suspects were paraded by the Taraba State Police Comand on Tuesday after they were arrested for allegedly luring and mutilating a six-year-old Maimuna Yahaya girl on September 2nd.
The suspects were identified in a statement released by, Taraba State Police Public Relations Officer Asp David Missal, as Abdullahi Abubakar, Adamu Mohammed and Mrs Umaimatu Tanimu all of Sabon-Gida in the Gassol Local Government Area of Taraba state.
ASP Missal said, the suspects allegedly lured the six- year old to a quiet place in the outskirts of Sabon-Gida were one of the suspects Abubakar cut open the stomach of the child and removed her kidney for ritual purpose.
He further added that the suspects were tracked by some team of police detectives acting on intelligence in the area.
The PPRO of the state also added that the suspects are still been investigated and will be charged to Court at the end of the investigation.
“The suspects are being investigated for criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide and will be charged to court as soon as the investigation is completed,” the ASP said.
