Police arrest man for stealing 52 women’s underwear
Chigozie Ugwu, 22, was among the 15 suspects paraded by the police in Anambra for differing crimes on Tuesday.
While some of them were accused of armed robbery and cultism, Ugwu was paraded for theft. Theft of 52 underwears belonging to women and items valued at N500,000 from a shop in Awka, the state capital.
It is not clear what he planned to use the underwear for.
The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ali Okechukwu the suspects were arrested following tips from people of the state to whom he expressed gratitude..
