Police arrest IMSU undergraduate for robbery, cultism
Police in Imo have arrested two robbery suspects, 20-year-old Simon Ekani and 26-year old Richard Ikenna.
Police boss in the state, CP Dasuki Galadanchi, said on Thursday that Simon and Richard were arrested at a hotel along Works Layout in Owerri.
Ikenna who had been on a wanted list by the Police, sustained a bullet injury on his right leg.
Galandachi said both suspects confessed that they were members of the Vikings cult group.
They were also identified by one Paul Anyanwu, as the assailants who robbed and almost killed him.
According to the CP, one locally-made pistol, a double-barrelled pistol with three unexpended and one expended cartridges were recovered from the suspects.
The suspects, police say, will be charged to court after investigations.
