Police arrest 5 suspected ritualists with human parts in Kwara
Five suspected ritualists have been arrested by Kwara State Police command after they were allegedly caught with eight human skulls and some human parts in their possession.
Police boss in Kwara, Bolaji Fafowora, identified the suspects as Azeez Yakub, Soliu Yakub, Salima Azeez, Abubakar Isiaka and Isah Wasiu.
Fafowora said the suspects were arrested in a building around 20 Ile-Ope area of Aromaradu in Kwara state.
“Acting on intelligence available to the command about suspected ritual killings around Adewole area of Ilorin by some ritualists, detectives from the police command swooped on a building located at 20 Ile-Ope area of Aromaradu, Adewole, Ilorin, and Yakubu Azeez and four other suspects were rounded up,” he said.
Fafowora further added that his team made some searching within the building and the human parts were found with them.
“A search was conducted in the building, 11 human skulls, several suspected human bones, a bunch of suspected human hair and other items were recovered,” he said.
