Physically challenged man becomes senior adviser to Benue governor
No less than 23 Nigerians living with physical disabilities have been employed by the Benue State government, official sources say.
One of the automatic employees, Mr. Charles Sati, was named Special Senior Adviser to the Governor on Disability.
State governor Samuel Ortom also gave 50 wheelchairs to those who cannot walk on their own.
The governor’s wife, Eunice, organised a ceremony where the donations where made.
The donations went to the state’s Physically Challenge Persons’ Home where the ceremony held.
Two vehicles were also donated to the state run center. The state also donated bags of rice, plastic buckets, toiletries and other materials needed for the smooth running of the centre.
The governor also directed the physically challenged persons’ home be renovated.
The moves were part of activities marking the 2015 World Disability Day held last Friday..
