PHOTOS: Lt. Col. Sakaba’s widow inconsolable as Army pays condolence visit
November 29, 2018
It was a deeply emotional moment as the Army, on Wednesday, paid a condolence visit to the widow of slain Lt. Col. II Sakaba.
Sakaba was one of many soldiers brutally killed by Boko Haram terrorists in Metele, Maiduguri about two weeks ago.
It is not clear if the Army would visit all of the families of other slain soldiers.
The military which had earlier claimed a “technical” defeat over the insurgents, has been forced to seek support from neighbouring countries in the fight.
Chief of Army Staff Tukur Buratai said the military is collaborating with Chad, Cameroon, Niger and Benin Republic to conquer the extremists.
