Some members of the Human & Environmental Development Agency have thronged Lagos roads to protest against the Ambode-led government’s tax laws.
The increment of various tax rates by Ambode has not been received well by many citizens.
The group, armed with placards and megaphone, staged a protest at Allen Avenue in the Ikeja area of Lagos Tuesday afternoon.
They labeled the new tax laws “wicked, satanic and oppressive.”
Ambode has said the Land Use Charge was not meant to overburden property owners, and also said other tax laws were as a result of necessity.
