PHOTOS: Ayefele screams witch hunt as Oyo government demolishes N800m building

The Oyo State government has pulled down singer Yinka Ayefele’s building following an evacuation order.

The state government claims the building, valued at N800m, was “found to be structurally defective/poses danger or constitutes a nuisance to the occupier or the general public.”

The demolition which Ayefele claim was politically motivated, was witnessed by residents early Sunday morning.

The singer’s spokesperson, David Ajiboye, said: “When the governor visited the studio in 2016, he said people told him to demolish the building because Ayefele was not in his camp. The building was approved in June 2008 as a business premise; that is over 10 years ago.”

A court hearing on the building housing Fresh Fm radio station was reportedly scheduled for (Monday) tomorrow.
