The leadership of Africa’s largest telecom and ICT company, MTN Group, on Friday, July 7, 2023, paid a visit to President Bola Tinubu, at the State House in Abuja.
The company’s delegation, led by its Group Chairman Jonas Mcebisi, President and CEO, Ralph Mupita, the Chairman, MTN Nigeria, Dr. Ernest Ndukwe OFR.; Karl Toriola and Chief Financial Officer, MTN Nigeria, Modupe Kadri.
MTN, speaking through its Group CEO, Mupita, extended its congratulations to the President and reiterated the telco giant’s commitment to Nigeria.
The company also outlined the company’s strategy for expanding connectivity across the country, diversifying digital services available to Nigerians and supporting the rapid growth of Nigeria’s digital economy.
“We appreciate the warm reception from President Tinubu and his team, and we thank them for their enthusiasm for the role that the telecoms and technology sector can play in driving the growth of Nigeria’s digital economy, and in ensuring broad participation in the new economic era,” Mupita said. “Our visit is an opportunity to reinforce our long-term commitment to Nigeria and our belief in the immense potential of this great country.”
