Photo: MTN leadership visits Tinubu, restates longterm commitment to Nigeria

The leadership of Africa’s largest telecom and ICT company, MTN Group, on Friday, July 7, 2023, paid a visit to President Bola Tinubu, at the State House in Abuja.

The company’s delegation, led by its Group Chairman Jonas Mcebisi, President and CEO, Ralph Mupita, the Chairman, MTN Nigeria, Dr. Ernest Ndukwe OFR.; Karl Toriola and Chief Financial Officer, MTN Nigeria, Modupe Kadri.

MTN, speaking through its Group CEO, Mupita, extended its congratulations to the President and reiterated the telco giant’s commitment to Nigeria.

The company also outlined the company’s strategy for expanding connectivity across the country, diversifying digital services available to Nigerians and supporting the rapid growth of Nigeria’s digital economy.

Mupita added “The principle of shared value is a fundamental pillar of our ‘Ambition 2025’ strategy, which we are actively implementing in Nigeria. Whether through expanding local ownership via retail participation in our domestic listing, our renewed focus on local content, promoting access to connectivity and financial services in rural areas, or deploying innovative technology platforms, we are continuously innovating to ensure a more inclusive digital landscape.”
