Pastor abandons church, converts to Islam “on Good Friday”
A Christian prophet has taken members of his family away from the religion into another, reports say.
The man simply identified as “Woli”, the Yoruba word for “prophet”, converted to Islam in Igbo Elerin, Ogun State.
He took his two children with him.
Woli had dreadlocks, something common among “white garment churches” in Nigeria.
Islamic clerics gave the former prophet a haircut after the switch.
We are unable to verify the time of the reported conversion but news of the development hit the airwaves as Christians mark Good Friday.
