#OsunDecides2018: With or without Omisore, Osun people will vote in Adeleke – PDP

Osun State governorship aspirant, Senator Iyiola Omisore may be the most important man in the lead up to the election re-run in the state on Thursday.

Since losing out on the election race on Saturday and INEC declaring a re-run between APC’s Gboyega Omisore and PDP’s Senator Ademola Adeleke, Omisore had been courted by members of both parties for his support.

Senate President Bukola Saraki had visited the political juggernaut, while Ekiti State governor-elect also recently paid him a visit.

It is widely believed that Omisore holds the key to who eventually emerges governor of the state, as his influence would garner vote for whoever he decides to side with.

A top PDP source in Osun State, however, told Newsroom on Wednesday that with or without Omisore’s support, the people of the state are ready to cast their votes for Adeleke.

“There is freedom of association. Otunba Iyiola Omisore, our former leader, has all rights to pitch his tent with any political party,” the source said.

“But the bitter truth is, Osun people are tired of a government of deception, a government of propaganda. The polling booth where re-run will be held tomorrow was won by PDP but disrupted by APC.

“The same people that voted on Saturday for Adeleke will still come out to exercise their civic responsibilities to send the government of the day out of the state. If APC allows one man, one vote, we are certain of victory,” he told us.
