Onnoghen: Osinbajo feels the heat, disables comment section on Instagram
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, following heavy criticism, has disabled his comment section on Instagram.
Many members of the public had camped in the comments section of Osinbajo’s official page to voice their displeasure about the removal of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen by President Muhammadu Buhari, on Friday.
Buhari has been widely condemned for his action which many adjudged as an attempt to truncate Nigeria’s democracy.
VP Osinbajo, himself a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, has been blamed for allowing the President make such decision that undermines the judiciary.
The Senate will reconvene on Tuesday to deliberate on Justice Onnoghen’s “unconstitutional” removal.
