Okocha teams up with Davido to lead Nigerian team against Seedorf and others for Heineken football face-off
Nigerian football legends Austin Jay Jay Okocha and Daniel Amokachi are teaming up with African hip-pop star David ‘Davido’ Adeleke, CEO of Air Peace, Allen Onyenma, to make up the Nigerian team that would face Heineken’s team led by Clarence Seedorf for the Heineken Football face off inLagos on Tuesday, April 12, 2022.
The football face-off is part of the Heineken UEFA Champions League Trophy Tour.
In a long chain of activities for the Trophy Tour organised by international premium beer brand, Heineken, the face-off challenge will start a few hours before the UEFA Champions League second leg match between Real Madrid versus Chelsea and Bayern Munich versus Villarreal, at Landmark Event Center, Victoria Island, Lagos State, today, April 12th 2022.
This year’s Heineken Trophy Tour is being headlined by former Dutch soccer player Clarence Seedorf, the first and currently the only player to have won the UEFA Champions League cup with three different clubs. Others that made up the Heineken’s team include ex-football star Patrick van Uden, Martin Kochl, Supply Chain Director NB Plc, Rob Kleinjan, Finance Director NB Plc, as well as Jelle Van der Meer, Max Crombaach and Maarten Vrolijk
The fun-packed activities will kick off today with Seedorf visiting the supersport studio. From there, he will visit the Nigeria Breweries Headquarters, where he will meet with prominent Nigerian legends that will confront him and his teammates in the face-off football challenge.
Seedorf will proceed to the brewery’s bar, where a press parley would be held and the unveiling of the UEFA Champions League Trophy.
Activities for the first day of the tour will wrap up with a match viewing experience as Bayern Munich attempt to bounce back against their lone goal defeat from Samuel Chukwueze’s side, Villarreal FC. Chelsea and Madrid fans would also watch as both teams clash for the second leg of the round 16, as Thomas Tuchel’s would have to produce a masterpiece to turn around their 3-1 defeat in the first leg.
