Obi Presents N15m Donation to Anambra School, Adds N10m to Nursing School
Peter Obi, former governor of Anambra State, said he presented a cheque of N15 million to St. John of God Secondary School in Awka during its 60th-anniversary celebration.
According to Obi, the donation was on behalf of Mrs. Bridget Egodi Egbujiobi, an alumna from the class of 1979, whom she recently meet in the United States.
“In our discussions, Mrs. Egbujiobi expressed her pride as an alumna of St. John of God Secondary School, Awka,” Obi said.
He continued; “I mentioned the upcoming anniversary event and the school’s need for support, and, recognising the impact this contribution could have, she generously decided to make this donation.”

Obi’s commitment to educational advancement didn’t end there. He later visited Regina Caeli School of Nursing, also in Awka, were he contributed N10 million to support its development.
“My commitment remains steadfast: to support critical areas of development in education, healthcare, and poverty alleviation,” the former governor said.
