Nurses, midwives set to embark on industrial action
News reports have it that nurses, midwives and other health workers under Joint Health Workers Union (JOHESU) will walk out of the hospitals on Thursday,
This is coming one week after the Federal Government resolved the dispute with resident doctors, considering the fact that nursing is one the most noble professions where its said that work is done unconditionally and with love.
The announcement about the strike was made by President, Association of Nurses and Midwives, Abdurafiu Adeniji after the meeting of the Union’s national executive council in Abuja, on Wednesday.

JOHESU had earleir issued a seven-day ultimatum for a strike action, which will expire midnight of Wednesday, September 20, 2017.
