Not Again! Tanker falls off Ojuelegba bridge, EXPLODES!
What would have been a slow morning in Ojuelegba turned into an extra busy one as a Forte oil tanker fell off the Ojuelegba bridge spilling its contents.
According to some residents, the tanker fell at about 12 a.m. on Saturday. Fire fighters, police officers, relevant emergency agencies…none of them were on ground to initially contain the situation.
Witnesses say the tanker did not explode until around 5:00 a.m, a time motorists were beginning to set out.
Residents also said that the fire service at barracks area of Ojuelegba didn’t show up. They had to wait for the Federal Fire Service which came from another area of Lagos State.
The tanker explosion, reports say, spread to buildings and other vehicles in the area. Parts of the bridge also had their share of the flames before they were extinguished.
