Northern youths in Igbo attires march through streets of Kano
September 15, 2017
Young Northern youths wear Igbo attires parading streets of Kano singing songs of peace in solidarity with peaceful Ibos living in northern Nigeria.
This is in sharp contrast with past years when Kano and other parts of Northern Nigeria where retaliatory attacks were carried out when ethnic clashes happened in the South East.
The group constitutes mainly young teeming ‘primitive’ almajiris who are typically the first suspects when an uprising happens.
According to news reports, it was a move by the Coalition of Northern Groups after answering the call of the Northern States Governors to maintain peaceful relations in spite of the tension occasioned by the standoff between IPOB and the Nigerian Army in Abia State.
Do you think it would be business as usual, with the Hausas and Igbos in the east?
