No Parking! Lagos bans parking on Opebi road

Motorists plying the Opebi-Allen road need take note.

The Lagos State Government has banned street parking on both sides of the road from Opebi to Allen round about in Ikeja with effect from Monday, 8th February, 2016.

A release by the State Commissioner for Transportation, Dr. Dayo Mobereola, directed business premises and visitors to the area to endeavour to park their vehicles within their premises or on side streets along the stretch.

It warned that any violation of the order will be appropriately charged and sanctioned by the appropriate Law enforcement agency saddled with the responsibility of ensuring compliance with this directive.

All vehicles, including tricycles and Okada, are expected to abide by the restriction order.

The government also implored business premises in the area to ensure compliance so as to avoid the closure of their premises or sanction against their customers..
