The Cypriot authorities are in the process of dismantling a Nigerian prostitution ring in Limassol, a city on the southern coast of the country.

This is according to a report by CyprusMila on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.

In a joint operation with the anti-trafficking unit, the Cypriot police arrested three women in connection to the crime.

The case first came to the attention of the police last year after a woman lodged a complaint, claiming initially to be a victim of theft.

However, it was suspected during questioning that she was a victim of sex trafficking.
