US police, who should have done better, killed two black people within the space of 24 hours.

Alton Sterling was pinned to the ground and shot dead on Tuesday in Louisiana.

On Wednesday night, Philando Castile was shot at least four times after being pulled over for driving a car with bad tail lights. His girlfriend was then handcuffed at the scene.

The lady filmed the aftermath of the shooting. The police officer who pulled the trigger was aware he was being recorded but didn’t stop her from doing so.

In the US, it’s legal to film officers in public places. It’s also legal in Nigeria and in many other countries who claim to be “sane”.

After the incidents, “Nigerian Police” trends on Twitter with people trying to draw comparisons between “racist” US cops and their Nigerian counterparts.
