Nigeria fumes after Okorocha reportedly calls salaries “a privilege, NOT a right”
“Salary is a privilege, not a right.”
Those words allegedly emanated from the office of the Governor Rochas Okorocha led Imo State government.
The government had been owing its workers for a while now, reports say. After paying them recently, a government official reportedly spew those acidic words to add insult to the pain of the government workers.
The statement was reportedly made by Okorocha’s aide on “Enlightenment,” Kelechi Okpaleke.
We’re waiting for the government’s response.
It’s not the first time Okorocha will be in the news for a ridiculously terrible reason.
After the governor met US president Obama, a billboard of his photo with Obama surfaced along a major highway in Imo State.
Okorocha also recently said Mathematics and English should not be compulsory for students. The statement made people angry.
So has the latest one that is being alleged.
