Nigeria: Crying 12-year-old needs N300k to save leg
A poor Nigerian boy is at the verge of losing his left leg if help fails to arrive on time.
Ebere, 12, suffered first degree burns during a fire incident. His parents had no money to take him to hospital.
Ebere’s condition got worse.
“Ebere’s mother is helpless,” Toluwalope Moore who runs the foundation that made the boy’s case public told Newsroom.
“She’s a petty trader and has spent all her savings on the boy’s health.”

Moore told us she started Experience God’s Blessing Foundation in 2016 to help the less privileged.
“We saw Ebere during our visit to the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos on Saturday, March 25,” she told our correspondent on Friday.
“Doctors told us there is hope for him but only if we act fast. He had an initial surgery and needs another to save the left leg from amputation.
“We’ve worked hard since then and people have generously donated N125,000 for Ebere. He needs N300,000.
There's a thread on my TL for Ebere, pls read &RT! It's not about me it's about giving hope to that young boy..You & I can do it together 😘

“He has finally been booked for surgery. Doctors think the leg can be worked on otherwise it will be amputated. I need us to come through for this child.
“I left him on Saturday in tears. The person I sent there later is in tears. Ebere’s parents are dejected and helpless.
“Ebere is in the Children’s Ward B of Igbobi Orthopedic Hospital if you want to visit. I’ll be there tomorrow (Saturday, April 1) afternoon,” Moore said.
