NDLEA arrests 30 for drug related offences in Gombe, rehabilitates 10
About 30 persons have been arrested by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), for drug trafficking in Gombe State.
The arrested persons are also serving different jail terms, according to Aliyu Adole, the NDLEA Commandant in the state.
Adole told NAN on Monday that the arrests were made between January and September 2018.
The NDLEA chairman also added that 20 other suspects are in custody awaiting trials and 10 persons were in a rehabilitation centre. He said seven of the persons were picked during raids, while the remaining three persons were brought by their parents to the rehabilitation centre.
Adole further added that 249.52 kg of psychotropic substance were seized which include 6.14 gram of cocaine, while the remaining seized substances were codeine and cannabis.
