In a groundbreaking move, MTN Nigeria has unveiled the first fully digitised retail store in sub-Saharan Africa in Ikoyi, Lagos.

This innovative step marks a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing efforts to enhance customer service experiences through cutting-edge technology. The state-of-the-art store offers a seamless and intuitive shopping environment, allowing customers to effortlessly locate products, explore new offerings, and resolve their queries using digital tools.

Friendly staff are also on hand to provide support, ensuring a smooth and engaging customer experience. The store’s modern design and layout create an inviting space for customers to interact with MTN’s latest innovations.

Hassan Jaber, Chief Operating Officer of MTN Nigeria, expressed his excitement about the launch. “We’re proud to launch this innovative store, which uses technology to make shopping easier, faster, and more enjoyable for our customers. Our goal is to make life easier for Nigerians, and this store is a big step towards achieving that goal,” he said.

Jaber also highlighted that this launch is a crucial part of MTN’s Ambition 2025 strategy, aimed at driving digital solutions for Africa’s progress. “Our customers are at the heart of everything we do. When they walk into the store, it is important that they leave with a memorable experience and look forward to their next visit,” he added.

Ugonwa Nwoye, Chief Customer Relations Officer of MTN Nigeria, shared her excitement about the store’s potential to transform customer interactions. “For instance, customers can do sim swaps on their own by simply responding to prompts from the digitised tools. They can do this and more. Launching this digital store is one more step in our commitment to strengthening the bonds we share with our customers,” she explained.

MTN Nigeria plans to roll out this digital retail model to other cities, making the advanced shopping experience accessible to their extensive customer base. The opening of this store underscores MTN’s dedication to innovation and customer satisfaction, leveraging technology to improve lives.
