Mob lynch suspected ritualist in Ekiti for eating bread with human faeces
A man believed to be in his 30s has been lynched by an unforgiving mob for allegedly eating bread with human faeces in the capital city of Ekiti state.
The victim who was suspected of being a ritualist was reportedly caught in the act by an elderly woman who raised an alarm that drew attention to the scene.
Youths in the neighbourhood who were angered by the idea that the man might be causing harm to others with his practice started to beat him. They stripped him naked and paraded him around the city as he pleaded for mercy.
He mentioned some clergy men from the community whom he said he knows very well. One of such names he called was one clergy from a white garment church, who was not around to vouch for him.
By the time he tried to escape, it was already too late for him. The mob was continuously beating him until he was dead and his body was partially burnt.
It was at this point that the mob also destroyed the white garment church at the Red roof junction, including the church office because they believed that the ‘church’ led the man into the ritual practice.
