Missing DELSU student found with mutilated body in Abraka

A 300 level Mass Communication student of Delta State University, identified as Elozino Ogege who was declared missing on the 15th of November, has been found dead. She was found in the early hours of Monday morning along Ekrejeta road in Abraka by residents of the area with a mutilated body of which her tongue and breasts were cut off.

Delta State  Acting Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Andrew Aniamaka confirmed the incident and described the death as a painful one, adding that “The family of the girl is going through excruciating pain. They have not been officially informed.”

Although Elozino’s peers living in the community said she was probably killed by suspected ritualists popularly known as ‘Yahoo Boys’, the DSP revealed that her body had been deposited into a morgue and an investigation on her death has begun.

The chairman of Delta state chapter of the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR), Comrade Prince Kehinde-Taiga expressed disappointment on the numerous reports of kidnapping, ritual killings, armed robbery, murder, rape and other social vices that has bedeviled the state in recent times.
