Mikel Obi and Didier Drogba Persuade Osimhen to Join Chelsea

Former Chelsea and Super Eagles star Mikel Obi is making every possible effort to ensure his fellow Nigerian, Victor Osimhen, makes a move to Stamford Bridge. In a recent video posted on X, Obi revealed that he, along with Chelsea and Ivorian legend Didier Drogba, are both actively working behind the scenes to persuade the Napoli striker to join Chelsea.

As the summer transfer window edges toward its final weeks, Osimhen’s future remains a hot topic. The striker, who has expressed a desire to leave Napoli, has been heavily linked with a transfer to Chelsea and also PSG, a move which has not shown a sign of progress despite Osimhen agreeing personal teams with the French club. This potential deal to Chelsea might also involve Romelu Lukaku moving in the opposite direction to reunite with Antonio Conte after playing under the Italian manager for Inter Milan.

Mikel expressed confidence that Osimhen would be a big player for Chelsea, adding, “He’s a fantastic player and an even better person. We all want him to come to Chelsea. Didier Drogba is also speaking to him, sharing his insights and the significance of the club to us.”
