MC Oluomo allegedly vows to “shake Oshodi” after fatal shooting of trusted aide

Residents of Oshodi area of Lagos State are being warned to watch their backs as the area could degenerate into a death pool any time soon.

Lagosians, reports say are also being told to regard Oshodi a no-go area until further notice.

Musiliu Akinsanya, a. k. a. MC Oluomo, leads the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in the area.

Some say he’s a well-know thug lord loyal to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

There’s been some violent power tussle over who controls NURTW in Oshodi. Many have been slain.

MC Oluomo’s close aide, Kunle Mamowora popularly known as Mamok, is believed to have fallen prey to that tussle.

Mamok was, Wednesday, shot dead by suspected rival thugs at a barbershop three blocks away from his father’s house in Oshodi.

Eyewitnesses reportedly said MC Oluomo vowed to repay Mamok’s alleged murderers in kind, and soon.

Some reports however quote residents who said MC Oluomo is the one trying to forestall reprisal attacks.
