Manchester City Draw Arsenal in Sunday EPL Clash
Arsenal played out an entertaining score draw with Champions, Manchester City, in their English Premier League (EPL) game at the Etihad stadium on Sunday.
Both sides played out a 2-2 draw with defender, John Stones nicking a draw for City at the death.
This comes despite the away side seeing red in the closing stages of the first half.
Goals from, Calafiori and defender, Gabriel, cancelled out a Man City opener from Erling Haaland, only for Stones to stab home the equalizer in the last kick of the game.
The turning point in the match was a red card shown to Arsenal forward, Trossard for a second bookable offence in the dying stages of the first 45.
The first half began with Man City confortably controlling proceedings, with Arsenal looking all over the place.
Gundogan sliced his shot wide early on to spear Arsenal’s blushes.
The warning signs were there, but not addressed by Arsenal, and Haaland capitalized, in the 9th minute, making good use of Savio’s throughball to score past the helpless David Raya in goal for Arsenal.
Moments later, the returning Rodri suffered an injury setback and had to be replaced by City Boss, Pep Guardiola.
In the 22nd minute, out of nothing, Arsenal made a push into the City penalty area, Martinelli cutting back for new signing, Ricardo Calafiori, to score a wonder of a goal from outside the box.
Late into the game, defender, Gabriel, rose highest to a Saka corner and nodded Arsenal into the lead.
Just when Arsenal thought the first half was over, Trossard bagged a second yellow for a push on Bernardo Silva.
The second half began with City dominating as expected given the numerical advantage.

Despite numerous attempts to get back in the game, Arsenal stood dogged in defence.
Mikel Arteta’s eventually conceded the equalizer, John Stones, first to react to a loose ball, after Kovacic’s shot was blocked, to slot home the leveller.
The draw sees Man City top the EPL table with 13points after 5 matches played, with Arsenal in 4th place, one point ahead of Chelsea who have 10 points.
