Man reportedly kills four children, self after dispute with wife in Rivers
Residents of Alesa community, Eleme, Rivers State had their sleep disturbed as they were alerted to the shocking sight of the dangling body of an unidentified man who committed suicide Monday midnight.
The deceased was also said to have set his house ablaze and killed his four children before he took his own life.
Reports say he had attempted to deal machete blows on his wife hours before the ugly incident but she managed to escape.
The wife reportedly alerted neighbours to the tragic incident.
It is not clear the cause of the dispute that led to the rash decision by the deceased.
Police were yet to comment on the incident.
