Man batters wife over alleged lesbian affair
A middle-aged woman in the Ekotedo area of Ibadan has been grossly battered by her husband for allegedly engaging in a lesbian affair with another woman.
The Benin City based couple who were going through a rough patch in their marriage had been invited by the woman’s step-father to settle the rift between them, but things seems to have eventually reached a breaking point.
After series of discussions, it was believed that the couple had decided to turn a new leaf in their relationship. The new resolution did not apparently last long as the woman was secretly entertaining an affair.
The husband, Dickson who had other appointments in the city is said to have come around to check up on his wife early in the morning at the hotel, only to find her in bed with another woman.
He reportedly jumped on her and beat her to stupor. The woman however denied the accusation and lodged a complaint against her husband at Iddo Police Station.
It’s not yet confirmed if the case has been taken up by the police as it seems Dickson has already left Ibadan to Benin City, while his wife receives treatment at the hospital.
