Man, 35, blames devil for pushing him to rape 3-year-old in Ogun
A 35-year-old man who allegedly assaulted a 3-year-old girl in Ogun has blamed the devil for his action.
Ayegunle Adekunle was a co-tenant with his victim’s parents at their residence at No. 29 Ore Meji Street Oriokuta Ota, where he allegedly committed the crime.
Police spokesman in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said Adekunle was reported by the victim’s mother after she discovered a blood stain in her daughter’s pants.
She found out the little girl’s privates had been bruised as she was actually bleeding from the injuries.
Oyeyemi said upon enquiry, the girl disclosed to her mother how the suspect lured her into his room and had carnal knowledge of her.
Adekunle has reportedly confessed to the crime, while the victim has been taken to hospital for medical attention and report.
