A “wedding crasher” was on Wednesday arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly stealing N60,000 meant for the bride.

Adekunle didn’t stop at just crashing the joyous occasion, she allegedly proceeded to steal the bride(one Mrs Adeshina Adeyanju)’s money while pretending to be dancing with her.

“The accused, who gate-crashed into the wedding was pretending to be sharing in the joy of the complainant, not knowing that she was using style to steal the money and put it in her bag,” the Prosecutor, Insp. Clement Okuoimose said.

“The complainant’s sister noticed and the accused was challenged. Her bag was searched and N60, 000 in different dominations was found.

“Another N3,000 was found separately but the accused confessed that she stole that N3,000 from another wedding before coming to the complainant’s,” he said.
