Lagos water corporation sensitizes on installation of prepaid meters

Lagos Water Corporation, LWC has commenced Sensitization of the general public on the installation of Pre-paid Meters across Lagos State. The sensitization exercise began on Saturday 5th August, 2017 in the following areas of the State: Lekki, Ikoyi, Dolphin, Victoria Island and Alexander.

While briefing the media and the general public on the exercise over the weekend, the Lagos Water Corporation, Managing Director/CEO, Engr. Muminu Badmus said the reason for the installation of the prepaid meters in every household in the State is to ensure accurate and efficient billing of LWC’s customers, in line with the Lagos State Government policy.

LWC boss reiterated that the sensitization exercise will be extended to other areas such as Magodo, Omole, MKO Abiola garden, Ikeja, Surulere, Itire, Iwaya, Yaba/Ebute Metta and other areas of Lagos State.

“This is a follow-up to the on-going installation of pre-paid meters in the areas mentioned above. LWC staff, contractors and consultants are already on the field for the installation, and customer education.
