Lagos: Unidentified man slumps and dies while on a jogging exercise
An unidentified young man has slumped and died around Ilupeju Bye pass while on a jogging exercise early Thursday morning.
A Police Patrol vehicle reportedly rushed the victim to the frontage of LASEMA Response Unit at Cappa, Oshodi, about 7.30am.
The Emergency Response Team immediately attended to the victim.
He was moved in an ambulance to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, where he was confirmed dead, LASEMA spokesperson, Kehinde Adebayo revealed.
The victim was said to be wearing an Arsenal F.C branded Jersey and could not be identified as there was no clue to his identity.
His body has since been moved by the State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit, SEHMU to the Mainland Hospital Mortuary.
The LASEMA General Manager, Mr. Adesina Tiamiyu called on any person with relevant information on a missing person who went on early morning jogging exercise around the following axis: Mushin/ Ilupeju/Fatai Atere/Coker road/Palm avenue junction to contact the Police Public Relations Officer or Olosan Police Station.
Tiamiyu advised that individuals should carry out routine medical check up to ascertain their fitness before embarking on early morning jogging or any other exercise to avoid such unfortunate incident.
