Lagos Traffic Meltdown Prompts Emergency Order By Police

The new Commissioner of Police in Lagos, CP Hakeem Odumosu has called for an emergency order in managing the traffic meltdown in the city.
The traffic situation in Lagos has worsened over the past few months. The gridlock is expected to linger on for a while due to bad roads and the recent road maintenance work that is being carried out around the metropolis.
According to CP Odumosu, not fewer than 1,000 more police officers are needed for traffic duties in the city.
