Lagos: Thousands stranded as FG partially demolishes churches, homes on Good Friday

It was bad Friday for thousands of residents of Railway line, Odi Olowo, Mushin.
They were left stranded as the government demolished illegal homes, shops and parts of two churches close to the railway track.
The demolition, which have been repeatedly announced for the past six years commenced happened as Christians marked Good Friday.
The occasion didn’t spare two churches from government bulldozers.

A Celestial (CCC) church and a Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S …or K&S) church had their frontages pulled down. Newsroom gathered the churches had occupied the land for at least 30 years.
We gathered the resident were not given a recent warning before the demolition.
