Lagos Lawmakers Reject Obasa’s Claim to Speakership, Back Meranda

A fresh wave of political tension has rocked the Lagos State House of Assembly as lawmakers have firmly rejected Mudashiru Obasa’s assertion that he remains the Speaker of the Assembly.

Addressing journalists at the Assembly complex on Thursday, the legislators stood their ground, reaffirming their allegiance to Mojisola Meranda as the rightful Speaker. The lawmakers insisted that Meranda holds the legitimate mandate, dismissing Obasa’s claims as baseless.
