Lagos Commissioner of Police: Owoseni hands over to Imohimi
The confusion surrounding who is the Lagos Commissioner of Police has been cleared after erstwhile CP, Fatai Owoseni, handed over to Edgal Imohimi.
Recall that Owoseni had stated he remained the Lagos CP on Wednesday, despite a directive from the Inspector General stating he had been relocated with Imohimi replacing him.
However, Owoseni has now handed over the reins to Imohimi, who was the Deputy CP in Lagos.
Afterwards, Owoseni wished officers of the command all the best under the leadership of Imohimi at a conference of senior officers, area commanders, DPOs and HODs.
Owoseni urged officers to devote the same official capacity they once had with him to the efforts of the new CP to continue making Lagos peaceful and crime free.
On his part, Imohimi had a quick security brief with the officers for the Sallah holiday and warned officers to make sure the break is hitch free with robust police visibility.
