Kidnapping of Toyin, The Sun DMD's wife: Nigerian journalists go spiritual
Mrs. Toyin, wife of the Deputy Managing Director of The Sun Publishing Limited, Mr. Steve Nwosu, is in being held captive by kidnappers.
Her abductors took her in the presence of her family, reports say.
Toyin, 40, was kidnapped from her Lagos home in Amuwo-Odofin, Festac town, Lagos, at about 2:30am on Monday.
Journalists have been calling, and are now praying, for her release.
Lekan Otufodunrin, the online editor of The Nation and convener of Journalists for Christ (JFC), has gone spiritual on the issue.
He posted a prayer on Facebook, Wednesday morning, and wants you to join in.
Shall we pray…
Prayer for the release of abducted Sun DMD’s wife
Our father and God, we commit your daughter, Toyin, abducted last Monday into your hands.
We pray that you will touch the hearts of her abductors to release her unconditionally.
We cover Toyin with the blood of Jesus and pray she won’t be harmed by the kidnappers.
We pray that you will protect her from every evil during the period of her captivity.
We pray that you will grant her strength to cope with the traumatic experience.
We pray that you will strengthen the husband, children and family members as they await her release.
Father God, we pray that you will grant the police and other security agencies, the wisdom to handle this case and know exactly what to do.
We pray that your guardian angels will find out Toyin from where the abductors are keeping her.
We pray that you will deliver every victim of abduction and kidnapping in the country and worldwide.
We pray that abduction and kidnapping and other crimes will cease in Nigeria and in other nations.
Thank you God for answered prayers.
In Jesus mighty name we pray.Prayer by Journalists For Christ
Amen.
