Kebbi: abandoned babies found in dumpsites

Two babies who were reportedly dumped by their mothers in different locations in Kebbi state, has been found.

Local media reports that one of the week-old infants was rescued while the other was already dead and tied in a polythene bag.

Abandoned babies are a recurrent phenomenon across Nigeria, with teenage mothers- as well as disadvantaged women often resort to throwing their children away.
