Katsina Eases Curfew on Dutsinma LGA, Maintains Statewide Protest Ban
Katsina State Acting Governor, Faruk Lawal, has announced the relaxation of the 24-hour movement restriction in Dutsinma Local Government Area, reducing it to a curfew from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am. This adjustment also applies to 33 other local government areas in the state.
The decision to review the curfew in Dutsinma comes after reports indicated an improvement in the security situation in the region.
Despite this easing, Lawal emphasized that the prohibition on unusual gatherings and all forms of protests will continue to be enforced across the state.

Katsina, and Other Northern States Witness High Turnout of EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protesters
The EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protests witnessed a higher turnout in the northern part of Nigeria, with several places in the region turning violent.
A total of 10 people were killed in Niger and Borno states as citizens took to the streets to stand against bad governance. In Kano, where it turned violent with looters vandalizing government properties, seven people were allegedly killed according to some reports.
Protesters in Kano invaded a popular Rufaidah Yoghurt store on Hadejia Road, Kano, and looted the premises, making off with valuable items such as food products, electronics, and furniture.
Yesterday, a 24-hour curfew was imposed by the Kaduna State Government following the eruption of massive protests, particularly in Kaduna and Zaria Metropolises.
While Governor Lawal commended the professionalism displayed by security forces in handling the situation, he also thanked parents, guardians, and community leaders for advising their children and youths against participating in the disruptive actions of miscreants.
