Kaduna estate agent remanded for “selling N8m land with fake documents”

One Muhammed Ibrahim Tukur has been remanded in prison for allegedly selling a plot of land which the documents attached were forged and fake.

Tukur was, on Tuesday, arraigned before Justice Emeka of the Federal High Court Kaduna, on three count charge bordering on forgery and obtaining by false pretence.

Tukur’s victim complained that he accosted him with documents of a property at No. 4 Sambo Kwassalo Road, Gaskiya Layout Zaria Kaduna State which he claimed ownership.

They settled for N8m but after five months of issuing the cheque, the buyer was called and informed that the land does not not belong to the suspect.

Every efforts to recover the money or claim the said property proved abortive. Tukur pleaded not guilty to all count charges against him.

Justice Emeka adjourned hearing of bail application to May 31, 2018 and ordered that the accused be remanded in prison custody.
