JUST IN: Police summon Senator Adeleke over examination malpractice

The police have summoned Osun State governorship aspirant, Senator Ademola Adeleke over allegations of examination malpractice.

The police, through its spokesperson Jimoh Moshood, accuse Adeleke and his brother Sikiru impersonated students of OJO/Aro Community Grammar School in Osun when they sat for the National Examination Council Examination (NECO) as internal candidates in 2017.

Moshood said they are being charged with criminal conspiracy, impersonation and breach of duty at the federal high court in Abuja.

According to him, the principal of the school facilitated the crime, along with two other members of staff.

Adeleke, along with four other suspects, has been asked to immediately show up in court for trial.

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) had, in an affidavit deposed at an FCT high court in Bwari, Abuja, on Wednesday, confirmed that Adeleke participated in its examination in 1981.
